Kidd's Miniature American Shepherds is a quality breeding facility of Miniature Australian Shepherds, now referred to as Miniature American Shepherds as recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC). Same dog, same breed just a new name.
We are located in Southeastern Kentucky just minutes from the Tennessee boarder.
Miniature American Shepherds have had great success in Conformation, Agility, & Obedience. They are a great addition to any family! We show our dogs in AKC Conformation events and have puppies that have went on to do agility, and other events with their new families.
Our dogs are raised in our home - socialized with adults, children, other dogs & farm animals.
We have selected our breeding stock by choosing individuals that possess outstanding conformation, temperament & size.
All of our puppies come from genetically tested parent stock for a Full genetic DNA panel including MDR1, PRA, HC, CEA, CDDY, HSF4 and NAD. As well as OFA X-rays for Hips, Elbows and Patellas.
We give routine vaccinations, dewormings, and monthly heart worm and flea/tick medications to all of our adult dogs.
We provide the ultimate care for all of our puppies that are waiting to go to their new homes, each puppy will receive age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, and high nutrition dog food.

The Miniature American Shepherd (AKC) is a small size herding dog that originated in the United States. He is slightly longer than tall with bone that is moderate and in proportion to body size and height without extremes. Movement is smooth, easy, and balanced. Exceptional agility combined with strength and stamina allows for working over a variety of terrain. This highly versatile, energetic dog makes an excellent athlete with superior intelligence and a willingness to please those to whom he is devoted. He is both a loyal companion and a biddable worker, which is evident in his watchful expression. The double coat of medium length and coarseness may be solid in color or merle, with or without white and/or tan (copper) markings. He traditionally has a docked or natural bobtail. Miniature American Shepherd sizes range from 14-18 inches at the shoulder for males and 13-17 inches for females.
